That is the good outcome. The bad one is a board that boots, looks fine on the bench, and fails somewhere you cannot get to it — because the fault was never a rendering error. It was a resistor value calculated for the wrong switching frequency, a pin rated past its absolute maximum under normal operation, a signal channel wired backward. Nothing on a visual inspection catches any of that.
A review costs a fraction of a respin and takes days, not weeks. The maths only fails to work in your favour if the board really was clean — and you find that out too.

Every review is delivered as a written, severity-ranked report. If it contains zero findings ranked Critical or Major — nothing that, left unaddressed, would plausibly have required a new board revision, reassembly, or re-tooling — you do not pay. You keep the report either way.
Findings ranked Minor — style, documentation, non-blocking suggestions — do not trigger payment.
The guarantee applies to boards submitted with complete design files. It does not apply to incomplete submissions, boards with undocumented custom parts, or work scoped beyond the single board agreed at intake.
What a review actually finds
Three faults. One board. One review.
A client sent a board they considered finished — ready for fab. A resistor pair setting the switching frequency on a TPS54360 regulator was miscalculated. An enable pin was exposed to voltage above its absolute maximum under completely normal input conditions. And a signal channel on an ISO7721 isolator was wired in the reverse direction — a fault that works on the bench and fails silently in the field.
Dead board. Healthy power.
A board would not boot. Every rail measured correctly, so the power supply was not the problem. The AM4379 processor was reading a boot-configuration pin combination matching no valid boot mode — a SYSBOOT strapping conflict. Found by tracing pin states against the boot-mode table, not by re-checking the rails a second time.
One suffix. One dead converter.
A buck converter kept failing. The schematic called for the AP63203WU-7 variant that regulates through an external feedback divider — the board was built with the fixed-output version of the same part. Same package, same footprint, different internal behaviour.

- The client in the first case above thought so too — the board was already considered finished. A review either confirms you are right, in writing, or tells you what to fix before fab does.

- By whom, checking against what? A layout glance and a datasheet-referenced fault list are different products. This checks switching-frequency maths, absolute maximum ratings, boot and protocol pin configuration, and part-number suffixes against the schematic's actual intent.
