Design Foundation

Schematic Capture

Professional schematic design and capture services that form the foundation of reliable PCB designs. We ensure every connection is verified, every component is sourced, and every specification is met.

What We Deliver

Hierarchical Design

Organize complex circuits into logical, hierarchical blocks for improved readability, reuse, and team collaboration.

Design Rule Checking

Comprehensive ERC verification to catch connectivity errors, missing connections, and design rule violations before layout.

Component Library

Verified component libraries with accurate footprints, 3D models, and up-to-date supply chain data for reliable sourcing.

BOM Management

Automated bill of materials generation with cross-referencing, alternate parts, and cost optimization analysis.

Design Documentation

Complete documentation packages including net lists, pin assignments, interface specifications, and revision histories.

Design Review

Thorough peer review process covering circuit functionality, component selection, power analysis, and signal integrity.

Our Process

1

Requirements Analysis

Review functional specifications, interface requirements, and performance targets to define the circuit architecture.

2

Architecture Design

Create block diagrams and define subsystem interfaces, power domains, and signal routing strategies.

3

Schematic Entry

Capture the circuit design with proper symbol placement, net naming conventions, and hierarchical organization.

4

Verification & Review

Run ERC, verify connectivity, review component selections, and validate against design specifications.

5

Documentation & Handoff

Generate BOM, net list, and design documentation package for seamless transition to PCB layout.

Frequently Asked Questions

What EDA tools do you use for schematic capture?
Our primary tool is Altium Designer. We also support KiCad and can deliver native source files in either format. Net lists and BOM exports are compatible with all major PCB layout tools.
Can you create custom component libraries?
Yes. We create IPC-7351-compliant schematic symbols with accurate footprints, 3D STEP models, and supply chain data (MPN, preferred distributor, approved alternates). Libraries are delivered with the project and remain yours.
Do you perform ERC and design review?
Every schematic delivery includes a full ERC pass and a manual design review covering circuit functionality, component selection, power budgets, and interface compliance. Issues are resolved before the design is handed off for layout.
What deliverables are included with schematic capture?
Deliverables include: schematic PDF, native source files (Altium or KiCad), net list, BOM (Excel/CSV with MPNs and alternates), component library files, and a design review report.
